European Council, London

Berry College students wishing to study in England over the summer have the opportunity to travel to the University College London with the European Council.

June 29- August 2, 2017

As a participant in this program you can spend a summer studying and living in the historic Bloomsbury district of London in close proximity to some of the world's finest museums and cultural sites.

Many classes from a variety of disciplines are offered through this program. Each class is Lower Division or Upper Division and equivalent to 3 credit hours at Berry College. Berry students are required to enroll in two 3-hour classes. Classes will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays; required field trips take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Find out how to register.

Students are provided with a private room at the University College London. Linens and a towel are included with the room. Community bathrooms are on each hall. There is also a security guard on duty whenever the building is open. 

Students receive a Tesco grocery card each week to purchase groceries.

The package cost of $5350 for the five week program includes:

  • Round-trip airfare between Atlanta and London
  • Accommodations at University College London
  • Free three-day weekends
  • Weekly Tesco grocery card
  • Train excursion to Hampton Court
  • Jack the Ripper walk
  • Unlimited travel on the metro system
  • A primary health insurance policy providing coverage for medical expenses

Plan to spend approximately $2000 for other items.  The package cost does not include tuition, textbooks, extra meals, field trip entrance fees, and weekend travel expenses, passport and related expenses, spending money, ground transport to and from the U.S. airport through which flights will be scheduled, or any other costs beyond those listed above.
