Bikes at Berry

REGISTER IT

  • All bikes on campus should be registered with Campus Safety.
  • Registration is free and is available at the Campus Safety Office (located across from the main entrance of campus).
  • You must have your bike’s serial number to register your bike.  See the diagram below for help finding the serial number.
  • The registration sticker should be placed on the vertical post below the seat and is valid for the life of the bike on campus.

USE IT

  • Cyclists should follow all stop signs and other road signage.
  • Travel with the directional flow of traffic on campus roadways.
  • Yield to pedestrians.
  • Take advantage of the more than 40 miles of biking trails on campus.

LOCK IT

  • To prevent bikes from being borrowed by other students, it is important to invest in a good bike lock.
  • Bikes may not be stored in academic and student life buildings.
  • Ensure that your bike is properly stored in the bike racks around residence halls, academic and student life buildings.

IMPOUNDED BIKES

  • Any bike considered abandoned or improperly parked/stored will be impounded at the owner’s expense.
  • Residence halls and surrounding buildings are regularly monitored for improperly stored or abandoned bikes.
  • To gain release of any bike that has been impounded, the owner must contact the Office of Residence Life and will be charged a $25.00 fee.
  • Impounded bikes will be stored for a period of 90 days.  After 90 days, all unclaimed bikes will be donated.
