Hello and thank you for considering Berry College! I graduated from Berry in 2012 with a degree in communication and a concentration in public relations. I began working as an Admission Counselor for the Office of Admissions in March of 2014. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to share with people the value of a Berry education and experience!

During my college search in high school, I visited many different schools all the way from New York to Oklahoma and I even attended another institution before I found Berry! From the gorgeous campus to the people I met during my campus visit and then learning about the different programs at Berry, I was confident this was the school for me!

I transferred to Berry my sophomore year and I am grateful for all of the opportunities I had as a student. While attending Berry, I was a member of the cross country and track teams. As a student athlete, I had the unique opportunity to compete with a group of people who became a second family. Being an athlete at a school like Berry allowed me to pursue the sport I loved while also being able to take part in campus life. Through Berry’s Student Work program, I worked as an Athletic Recruiter and assisted the women’s cross country team in seeking out prospective athletes. I also worked for the Sports Information Department as a Sports Writer, which was a great compliment to my communication degree! Also while at Berry, I was a summer orientation (SOAR) leader and I had the chance to welcome incoming freshmen to Berry. My student athlete experience and my student work positions were the greatest compliments to the liberal arts education I received at Berry!

I can confidently say that Berry is an institution where you will be more than a number and your experience will include even more than the classes you take. Through your academic preparation, your student work jobs and any other campus involvement you choose, you will have an enriching experience that makes you ready for life after Berry!
