The Berry Farms Season's Harvest
The objective of this enterprise is to provide an educational opportunity and further sustainable gardening practices in the community. Team goals include providing healthy, local produce and reducing our collective carbon footprint. Harmful chemicals are not used on our crops; instead we rotate our crops and compost and use natural methods to repel pests. A majority of our compost material comes from leaves gathered from the campus by grounds workers. The garden provides much of its own compost, and many of our crops are tilled back into the soil. There are two farmers markets held in July and September that include Berry's Student Operated Enterprises and local vendors. Community vendors are welcome to apply at TheBerryFarmsFarmersMarket@berry.edu .
