Designed for majors as well as those who want to learn more about leading in the outdoors, this semester long "Orientation and Administration" type course provides exposure to a variety of adventure-based activities. Land-base, water-based, vertical and underground are covered. Trip planning, preparation, leading and risk management are the focus. Some basic experience in the outdoors is recommended but not required. Students are responsible for transportation and meals to various off-campus training sites.
