We LOVED the race. I have done 9 marathons/half marathons and this by far was the best organized. I really did not expect the first to be so nice. We drove 4 hours for the race and will be back for next year and bring friends with us. People at the registration not only helped the "out of towners", but also followed up today to see that we were taken care of. If the results become available on line, please let me know. Thanks for everything. It was a great race and a great experience. Special thanks to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and organizers. I know that a lot of people put in a lot of time and effort, and it is appreciated. This was my first race in 17 years and I plan to come back every year. Good morning! Job well done on yesterday's race! It was such a great course (and weather) and a perfect excuse to return to Berry for the day! I look forward to running again next year. I had the opportunity to run the half marathon today at Berry. What a great race! What great venue! I was very impressed...then I sat back and saw that this was the inaugural event! Nice job! Thanks you for a great race, -John Cremers

This was my first race ever! And I have been running about 6 months. I liked the chip. I loved the workers they all were very nice and helpful. I don't care for the port-a-potties but don't think you have any way to do any thing about it. I will be coming next year and hope to get my dad to come too. Overall the race was very nice and much better than I expected. I know it took lots of planning and hard work, and my hats off to all of the Berry Team!!! Thanks Again, -Ed Sanders
Hats off to you for an incredible race today! The entire event was first class from start to finish. Thanks to your hard work and dedication it was an amazing day for BCES, Berry College and the Rome community. We are in awe of everything you did to pull together such a successful race. Thanks for a great experience. This was actually the 1st organized race I've ever participated in. It was very well organized, and the route was beautiful. I especially appreciated the people all along the route cheering us on. I was doing this in honor of my 50th birthday which I celebrated in January. First of all I'd like to say ya'll did a great job in the organizing and race day volunteer efforts for the half marathon. It looked like it was an established race rather than a first time event. Great staff at registration, great aid stations and friendly people all around! I love running at Berry College and drove almost two hours each way to race at your event yesterday. I set a Personal Record for the half marathon distance on Saturday (I also ran my personal best at the Chieftains 10K event at Berry a few years ago so obviously I love your campus and your race courses!) I have run many, many 1/2 marathons......this was very well organized, and the most scenic course imaginable. I'll be back next year. P.S.......can't you do something about the "hill"? -Jim Drew
Aloha! Well we flew 5,000 miles with a 5 hour time change to visit your beautiful Campus and run your first run! GOOO Vikings !! It was a true pleasure to be a part of this event and support the kids! “It is all about the KIDS!” Many of you know I had the honor of running with the Race celebrity “Go Mrs. Trejo!” Runners of all levels: Put this event on your race calendar next year! Truly a great course wonderful people and a classic in the making! This one will be a true gem to remember - you watch the articles and stories they will write about this one. What will people say they loved the most? Was it running in the mist, the deer along side the trail, the honking geese the horses in the pasture or the staff and professionals just being good people? The two of us from HAWAII have run the Honolulu Marathon, Maui Marathon, Marine Corp. Marathon in Washington DC and the Nashville ½ Marathon - and now the Berry 1/2 which truly may be one of the nicest scenic runs we have done! Great Job, Berry staff and volunteers! Great race! This was my first race in ten years (the 5k). Just like everything at Berry, this was top-notch. All things were organized; can't think of any suggested improvements. This race really helped to "hook" me on running again. -Joe Carter
I thoroughly enjoyed participating in my second organized event and first half-marathon. It was also my first time on the Berry campus, and I couldn't get enough of it! I will hopefully be back next year. Wish there had been more complimentary post-race snacks available. :-) Also, have you given any thought to adding a category for racewalkers to the half-marathon? I would like to congratulate you for the hard work everyone has done behind the scenes for the Marathon Event. No one of my family ran the Marathon but we were there yesterday to see the racers and enjoying kite day. It has been a very nice family day and a beautiful event for the School, the College and the Community of Rome. Everything was really well organized (and I can tell you I know what it means to organize big events) and went smooth. I hope you reached the goal you had in planning this event; you really deserve it. I am sorry I couldn't volunteer but, unfortunately, it happened in a time I was already overloaded with other activities. Once again congratulations! -Alessandra Warburg

Thank you BCEMS for making the Berry Half a memorable experience. I enjoyed the course as much as the Disney Half Marathon. It was very well organized and it was great to have a 1/2 marathon in our area. Be careful and don't let it get too big because good news travels fast. -Jim Hudson
Saturday was great fun! You had every detail covered, from registration to the awards. It was helpful to receive immediate feedback to my on-line registration with a personal message from the Berry Half to follow. I was so pleased to find families with children enjoying the pasta dinner as well as the race-day activities. One thought--Rome has so much to offer visitors, that you might consider (and maybe you did) making showers and dressing rooms available for those who wish to stay and see Rome---as well as more of Berry! Thanks so much for organizing such a fabulous race. The course could not have been more beautiful; it was nostalgic for me as a Shorter College alumna who learned to run during my college years on the roads and trails at Berry. Hi! What an awesome race! I had more fun than I have on any other course. It was beautiful & so well organized. Thank you for the idea to share the campus & for us all to enjoy. Question: the photos taken of the winners of each age group w/our trophies, where can we find those? I'd really like to have that photo for my scrapbook.
