Welcome
to the
Georgia Field Directors' Website
Welcome to the home web page of the Georgia Field Directors (GFD). The mission of this organization is “to provide leadership and direction for field experiences in teacher education.”
Three goals of the Georgia Field Directors organization include:
1) to provide a forum for sharing information about best practices of field experiences, mentoring, p-12 co-reform, and collaboration;
2) to actively participate with other teacher education organizations in developing a timely awareness of legislative issues concerning teacher preparation; and
3) to serve as a conduit from the National Field Directors Forum to GFD.
It is my hope that the organization continues their collaborative efforts while recruiting more Georgia colleges and universities for participation. The next year promises to be even more exciting as we share ideas, learn from each others initiatives, and support common efforts and needs to improve field experiences in Georgia. Let’s work together to increase membership and strengthen our organization.
The Georgia Field Directors invites you to review the information provided. We welcome your input as we continue to determine how
