Admission to the Graduate Programs
Admission Deadlines:
Fall Semester : May 1
Spring Semester: November 1
Summer Semester: March 1
Master of Education
All applicants admitted to the masters degree program must hold a baccalaureate degree from a fully accredited institution of higher education. Applicants who do not hold a current teaching certificate should follow the application procedures listed for the initial-certification program. The applicant must submit the following:
1. Berry College graduate application form and fee.
2. One official transcript from each college or university attended.
3. A satisfactory score on the Graduate Record Examination (General) or on the
4. Two letters of recommendation, preferably from a teacher or college professor.
5. An educational goal statement in narrative form, not more than 500 words, outlining your
goals on pursuing a graduate study and the background and/or professional
accomplishments that you will bring to the program. This statement must be typed and
sent to the admissions office. Two education faculty members will evaluate the goal
statement, along with the other admissions materials.
6. A minimum grade-point average of 2.5 or a junior-senior grade-point average of 3.0.

8. Passing score on PRAXIS II or GACE Content Exams.
9. Current Resume.
In addition to the preceding, the applicant is encouraged to submit any additional relevant information, such as as a personal statement, which might help in the admissions decision.
