Mike King
BOLD is directed by Berry College faculty member Mike King (M.Ed.; Director of Outdoor Education and Lecturer in the Kinesiology Department). Possessing more than 30 years experience as an educator, businessman, administrator, and outdoor adventure leader, his credentials include training from the American Canoe Association, Outward Bound, The Association for Experiential Education, The Association for Challenge Course Technology and experience as an instructor/trainer for the YMCA and the American Red Cross. This wide variety of experience is an especially important asset in relating to the many different kinds of organizations, their goals and expectations and guiding those organizations through program experiences.

Shannon Bond

Shannon is a counselor and family/child advocate. She graduated from Berry (c1989) with a degree in Art and Psychology. This is her 17th year with BOLD.

Dr. Jerry Jennings

Michele Holder

Michele is the Administrative Assistant for Berry KIN and BOLD. This is her 7th year with BOLD.

Bernard King

Bernard is a Girl Scout Ranger and retired law enforcement officer. This is his 7th year with BOLD.

Mark Suroviec

Mark has been involved with ropes courses and adventure programs for 8 years. He currently works for Winshape Wilderness and Higher Ground USA. This is his first year with BOLD.

Nathan Hicks

Jamey Rabun

Jamey is a Park Ranger for GA Department of Natural Resources. He graduated from Berry (c2006) with a degree in Management/ Marketing. This is his 4th year with BOLD.

Matthew Weitzel

Matthew is a Project Manager at Lockheed Martin. He graduated from Berry (2004c) with a degree in Business Administration. This is his 9th year with BOLD.

Steve Killian

Steven is the Chairman of the Social Studies Department at the Walker School in Marietta. This is his 1st year with BOLD.

Trish Abston

Trish is a teacher at Armuchee Middle School. She graduated from Berry (2001) with a degree in math and obtained her masters from Berry in 2003. This is her 5th year with BOLD.

Ronda Ware

Ronda is a teacher at Coosa Middle School. She graduated from Berry (1998c) with a degree in

Health and Physical Education. She obtained her MEd in Reading in 2007.

Taryn McDonald

Taryn is a Senior Animal Science major. She is a Student Supervisor and works with the Adventure Challenge classes. This is her 4th year with BOLD.

Dustin McCormick

Dustin is a Senior Visual Communications major from Calhoun, GA. Dustin is a Student Supervisor and works with the Adventure Challenge classes. This is his 3rd year with BOLD.

Jason Mincey

Jason is a Senior Psychology major from Alpharetta, GA. Jason works with the Adventure Challenge, Rock Climbing, Backpacking and Wilderness First Aid classes.This is his 4th year with BOLD.

Katie Keegan

Katie is a Junior Visual Communications major from Murfreesboro, TN. Katie works with the Adventure Challenge, Backpacking and Wilderness First Aid classes. This is her 3rd year with BOLD.

Kelli Stansell

Kelli is a Junior Outdoor Education/Religion Interdisciplinary Studies major. Kelli works with the Adventure Challenge, Backpacking, Kayaking, and Adventure Sports classes. This is her 2nd year with BOLD.

Andrew Erickson

Andrew is a Junior Business Management major from Rome, GA. Andrew works with the Adventure Challenge classes. This is his 2nd year with BOLD.
