| BOLD Ascents is the student component of the BOLD Program, consisting of classes and custom programs for on-campus groups. The Ascents program serves as the Berry student's introduction to BOLD. Students may enroll in one of the HPE, Psychology, or on campus classes offered by BOLD, or they may be introduced via a custom BOLD program for a Berry club, team, or group in which the students are involved. Those students who are especially interested in outdoor adventures can find additional opportunities to participate via the BOLD Beginnings portion of the Viking Venture Freshman Orientation. |

Many of BOLD's HPE classes count towards meeting the general education requirement of two HPE activities. Other classes are electives in the HPE and Psychology majors and instruct students in important skills and concepts of experiential education. These are complemented by the certification classes offered through Berry's Continuing Education program. BOLD also develops custom programs for on-campus classes, groups, and teams. These programs are offered at a discounted rate, and are tailored to fit the needs of the group. All programs are designed to help groups function more efficiently and to enhance the team's potential by developing teamwork and problem-solving skills. BOLD serves as a resource for everyone on campus—students, residence hall floors, classes, faculty, departments, and teams, to mention only a few.
Previous BOLD custom programs have been developed for the Bonner Scholars, the baseball team, the School of Education, the Campbell School of Business, Peer Educators, and Thomas Berry Hall. |
