Cage Center
Scheduled to open in 2008, the Steven J. Cage Athletic and Recreation Center is already on its way to becoming the college’s activity hub. “The Cage,” as it is known, will house a 1,964-seat basketball arena, indoor pool with observation seats, racquetball courts, indoor track and fitness center. This student-centered complex is named in honor of Berry alumnus and trustee Steven J. Cage of Indianapolis, Ind., who provided gifts to launch the campaign to make this dream a reality. In addition, the Cage will be accompanied by the Kilpatrick Plaza, a pedestrian plaza with graceful walkways, park-like surroundings and a water feature donated by alumni Hal and Suzi Golden Kilpatrick of Delray Beach, Fla. The HPE Department will be located in the Cage, upon its completion, and the complex will house classrooms and offices for faculty and staff.
