Charter School of Education & Human Sciences

Psychology Degree

The psychology major is a course of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. While fostering their own personal growth and intellectual development, students majoring in psychology have flexibility in designing a program to prepare themselves for employment or graduate study. Recognizing that psychology is an academic discipline, a science, and an applied profession, a threefold program has been established: intensive classroom activities, research training, and practica and internships.

Students learn from a variety of classroom experiences such as performing norm violations for social psychology, writing and running experiments for research methods, studying human growth and development, and creating and designing a psychological test for tests and measurements. Opportunities are provided to develop human and animal research projects in field and laboratory settings.
