First-Year Insight
Families of new students face almost as many changes as the students themselves, and family understanding and support are crucial factors in a new student's successful transition to college. First-Year Insight, a semiannual newsletter, keeps families up to date about important events and predictable highs and lows in a student's first year, and offers information about basic concerns for new students and their families such as interpreting grades, managing money, and choosing a major.
