The Art Major Concentrations, The Art Minor
Art majors receive the Bachelor of Arts degree, and elect a concentration in studio art, art history or art education. Art majors prepare for a lifelong dedication to art as a unique way of knowing, expressing and as a way of life.
Students who elect and successfully complete the education concentration are certified to teach P-12 in Georgia, and typically teach art in a public or private school.
Students electing studio art or art history concentrations prepare for a career in the art world, and usually enter graduate school in a studio or art history area of their choosing.
