Student Scholarship and Service
Student Scholarship Presentations
Each year, the Provost's office sponsors a Student Scholarship Symposium. All students, regardless of their discipline, are invited to present the results of their research and/or scholarly activity. The presentation falls in one of two categories. Students either present a paper during lecture sessions in one of Berry's auditoriums, or they present a "poster" during the poster presentation sessions.
Student Service Activities
Our students volunteer to help out at a number of places in Floyd County where they are needed to present enrichment activities in the visual arts.
The Open Door Home, a halfway home for displaced children, is one of the organizations our students visit. They also help children at the Rome Boys and Girls Club and the children's ward at Floyd Medical Center. They have helped many children enjoy the therapeutic processes of the visual arts.
