Fine Arts - Music

Financial Aid and Auditions

Auditions are required for admission to the music program and for financial aid. Performance grants are available for nonmusic majors for participation in performing groups as needs of the department require. Financial aid from the music department can be combined with other sources of financial aid such as the HOPE grant, area grants, Winshape, and academic scholarships.

Audition requirements:

Strings - All State material or two contrasting solos/etudes

Winds - All State audition material or solo from the repertoire

Percussion - One selection each on two percussion instruments. All State material
   acceptable

Vocal - Two contrasting songs

Piano - Two contrasting movement, memorization recommended

Audition dates:

Saturday before Thanksgiving

Second and Third Saturdays in February

Private auditions may be schedule if above times have conflicts.

Music scholarships may be renewed and are subject to review annually.
