Short Bio:
DR. LUCÍA LLORENTE is a native of Bilbao, Spain, and Associate Professor of Spanish. She got her Licenciatura in both Hispanic and English Philology from the University of Deusto, Bilbao. She obtained her graduate degrees, M.A. and Ph.D., in Romance linguistics from the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Llorente’s research interests are theoretical and applied linguistics, translation, and women studies. She is the author of two books and has published several articles.
