Teaching Interest:
Dr. LaFevor teaches classes on Latin American History, World History, Modern American History and upper division courses on Latin American cultural and social history.
Research Interest:
Dr. LaFevor is an historian of Modern Latin America. His current book-length manuscript focuses on body culture, national identity, and masculinity in Cuba and Mexico in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He has been awarded a William J. Fulbright and Thomas J. Watson Fellowships for study and research in Mexico, Cuba, Turkey, Great Britain, Russia, Spain, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Poland, Greece and Romania.
