German Club
The weekly German Club is an informal weekly meeting of German students as well as native speakers during the semester. This is a great opportunity to practice speaking German and to learn about studying, living and working abroad.
International Film Series
Throughout the academic year we will be screening various international movies, each of which will be preceded by a guest speaker who will give a short introduction to the film. The movies are shown in the Evans Auditorium or the Science Auditorium, and usually start at about 7:00pm. Cultural credits are given to students upon request.
Teaching Workshop for German Instructors in the Southeast
Every fall semester, Berry College, in conjunction with the Goethe-Institut Atlanta, and the AATG hosts a seminar for instructors of German at all levels from Georgia and the neighboring counties in Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
International Fair
Once a year, usually in the spring semester, the International Club, organizes a multicultural fair in the Krannert Center. Students can sample a variety of ethnic food, listen to world music, watch traditional dances, and get to know their fellow international students studying abroad at Berry College.
Several times each semester the Evans School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences sponsors a series of talks for the wider campus community. Invited are prominent speakers who address world issues of importance and interest.
