Message from the Dean
Nursing is an exciting
profession, the future of which has never looked more promising than it
does today. Nursing is cited as one of
the most sought after professions in the 21st century. These
programs are arduous and will demand your full attention and dedication, but
the end result will be well worth the
effort.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program. The first two years of course work provide
the strong liberal arts and science foundation vital for preparing the professional with critical thinking, clinical
reasoning, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills essential
to meet the health care realities of the future. The upper-division nursing
major is a four-semester sequence at the junior and senior level where the student participates in a highly interactive classroom and simulation laboratory. The peak
experience for the Berry nursing student is the cross-cultural immersion course which is completed
in a global setting.
The Berry College
Nursing Faculty and Staff are committed to preparing aspiring nurses with the knowledge,
skills, and attitudes, to be a nurse of excellence. We will work
with you to ensure that your academic experience, both inside and outside the
classroom, is successful and remembered with pride.
