Research Interest: Evolutionary ecology, plant reproductive ecology, plant-animal interactions, ecological biochemistry and tropical ecology. Studies of the ecological significance of toxins (glycoalkaloids) within nightshade (Solanum) fruits, demographic study of longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) on the Berry campus, and study of inter- and intra-specific variation in protease inhibitors in Solanum spp. leaves and fruits.
