Faculty Research

Research, publication, and other scholarly activities are valued at Berry College with the expectation that they will contribute to the distinctive liberal-arts education which the faculty provide for their students. We are pleased then to provide this platform for informing visitors to our web site of the important and exciting research that can be accomplished by faculty who serve at a "teaching" institution where the greater emphasis is on the intellectual needs of its students. Berry College embraces the idea that active scholars make better educators and, therefore, encourages and supports the faculty in the achievement of this goal. The faculty are committed to high standards in teaching and scholarship. The College may award sabbatical leave and privately funded endowments to outstanding senior faculty for further support of their research activities.
