Berry Students Plant Longleaf Pine Seeds
During the month of December many students and other volunteers helped in the planting. Below is a list of the many volunteers whose help led to the total of about 10,000 longleaf pine seedlings being planted in the Fall of 2006 with volunteers devoting 180 person-hours to the project. Counting those seedlings planted last spring, we have planted about 16,000 seedlings in the last calendar year! We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the help of the many volunteers who participated. Promising to see to it that these trees grow up into healthy saplings over the next couple of years is perhaps the best we can offer.
