School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences

Berry Scholars Program Awards

Outstanding student scholars are supported through a number of college resources. A record of student achievement in the sciences in the area of undergraduate research was undoubtedly the catalyst for two major commitments to the college. These scholarships were created under the umbrella of the Fund for Berry Scholars. The Richards Scholars Program is named for Mrs. Alice Richards and her family, whose generous gift to the college helped established the model for scholarships of this type. The Kirbo Scholars Program is a similar type of grant funded by the Thomas M. and Irene B. Kirbo Charitable Trust. The Synovus Sophomore Scholars Program makes awards to rising sophomores to support the student’s exploration of academic, research or growth experiences or artistic endeavors. A limited number of awards are made annually on a competitive basis.

Below we list School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences student recipients. For further information about either of the scholarships, you may contact the Office of the Provost at Berry College.
