|Roatan: Summer 2010 - Day 4
Day Four: Reef invertebrate identification and a snorkel at Bailey's Key
After breakfast we headed out to dive the north wall of Roatan. The students worked on identifying and learning the ecology of a set of targeted species. In addition we had at least 5 or 6 large (3 plus feet) black grouper investigate the group on numerous occasions. We returned for a steak and salad lunch then headed out to finish finding all the organisms on the target list. With no rest for the weary, after returning from the dive, every one headed over to the neighboring key to snorkel for about an hour. We found a number of new organisms. Then it was off to dinner and a lecture (not a movie).
