Roatan: Summer 2010 - Day 7

Day Seven: Projects, goodbyes, and native dance
The weather has gone down hill a little, no more sunshine and flat seas for the next couple of days. We had a low move in today and it was over cast (some rain) and the seas had 1 ½ ft waves. We did not go to the mangroves as planned; we’ll save that for a better day. Instead the students started on their fish projects and made two dives gathering data. Today was our last day with Jo-Jo (boat captain) and Alson (dive master). Tomorrow we switch boats and get a new crew. Everyone was sad to see them go. Then it was off to dinner, as you can see from the menu, it was just another rice and beans type meal, but no one complained. After dinner the guest were treated to some native dancers and then it was off to lecture and bed. Hopefully this tropical low will be gone by tomorrow and we can get back to calm seas and clear water.
