Day Thirteen: Lab Exam
The reality of the course hit home today (exam time). We did two dives this morning; the first was a drift dive at West End Wall and the other was done at Bears den. The students were able to brush up on their identification skills during both of the dives. In addition, Bears Den had a nice swim through, which the students really enjoyed (along with a spotted eagle ray that came by). After a great lunch on the beach it was off to study for the lab exams. Part I was held out in the water and the students had to swim around to different stations and identify the marked organisms on their slate. We took a break for dinner and then it was off to the lecture hall for part II of the lab exam (photo ID). The written lecture exam is at 8 am on Friday, so everyone headed off to study after the lab exam.
