Pre-Medical Students
The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) web site should be considered “home base” for students considering a career in medicine. It contains very useful information about medical school and has links to other valuable sites.

The MSAR (Medical School Admission Requirements) is an essential publication for all students considering a career in medicine. It is an authoritative guide to MD granting schools in the United States. The MSAR describes the application process, selection factors and acceptance information for each school. It also contains demographic information about matriculating students, specialties of recent medical school graduates, contact information, and other useful data. The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is a requirement for all students applying to medical school. See the links below for information about the MCAT and to register for the exam. Students typically take the MCAT following their junior year in college. Students should be aware that the scope of the MCAT exam will change beginning in 2015, to include questions about the natural, social and behavioral sciences.

Follow the “Publications” tab to find instructions for ordering the Online PA Programs Directory, a comprehensive description of accredited PA programs in the United State, including specific entrance requirements and application deadlines.
