Pharmacy is a vital and expanding part of health care. More and more
young people are seeking a rewarding career in modern pharmacy. The pharmacies
of today do much more than dispense medicine. They are a source of information
for both physician and patient in the selection, dosage, and administration
of the thousands of drugs available. Pharmacy requires scientific knowledge,
personal and professional skills, and a commitment to a lifetime of learning.
Many schools admit students into their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
programs after they have completed two years of undergraduate work. Other
schools require three years of undergraduate work or even a Bachelor's
degree. The minimum requirements required for the University of Georgia
and Mercer University are available on the pre-pharmacy requirements
page. Berry students are held in very high regard by most of the area
pharmacy schools and, therefore, enjoy a high acceptance rate into their Pharm.D. programs.

Students interested in pharmacy should contact Dr. Andrew Bressette
early in their college career to discuss the pre-pharmacy requirements
and application process.
