Why
Berry College? Berry College offers outstanding facilities for
research in ecological and environmental biology.
Our new state-of-the-art science building provides
modern equipment and research space.
The campus occupies 26,000 acres, including many
different ecosystems, and is located in a major watershed of
northwestern Georgia.
Berry is close to Atlanta and to both the
Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains, so students will have
access to a variety of natural areas beyond those involved
in their research.
Berry's approach to undergraduate education is
summarized in its tri-fold mission to educate the "head,
heart, and hands" and the biology department has been
very successful in involving students in research.
US News and World Report has consistently ranked Berry
among the top southeastern comprehensive
colleges.
