EXPERIENCE
1986-present: Berry College, a comprehensive liberal-arts institution of approximately
1,900 undergraduates and 200 graduate students located near Rome, Georgia, that offers
the bachelor of arts, science and music degrees and the master’s and specialist’s degree in education and the master of business administration degrees.

Continue to teach courses in public relations, media law and ethics, and communication theory in the communication program at Berry; recipient of the three major college teaching, scholarship and service awards and the 2002 Martindale Award of Distinction from Berry College and the teaching award for an untenured faculty member from Oklahoma Baptist University.
RESEARCH
Co-author of two books, Media Ethics: Cases and Moral Reasoning and Applied Public Relations: Cases in Stakeholder Relations ; author or co-author of four book chapters, 14 research articles in journals and proceedings, and numerous refereed and invited conference presentations; and serve on editorial board for Mass Communication & Society journal.
SERVICE
Chair , Planning Council; Institutional Research Advisory Committee; Task Force on General Education; First-Year Advisory Committee; serve on 13 other college councils and committees
Just completed term as Chair, Mass Communication and Society Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
