AustraLearn Internships
Australia or New Zealand
Overview
AustraLearn offers a number of 10-week internships to qualified students. The student must be a Junior or higher. Interns in Australia live in homestay-type housing with an Australian individual or family, while interns in New Zealand live in shared student apartments with other interns. The housing cost (not including meals) in included in the program fees. AustraLearn provides a program coordinator and on-site supervisor to facilitate the internship’s success. Students are expected to keep a journal detailing their experiences and create a bi-weekly self evaluation. The internship is worth 6 academic credits granted by Chapman University.
Programs
AustraLearn provides internships in the fields of Business and Communications, Education, Information Technology and Law, Science, and Social Sciences. Full descriptions of the internships are available on AustraLearn’s web site.
Dates
Internships are for 10 weeks, occurring over the summer break or during Fall or Spring semester. The dates are:
February 6 - April 20, 2007
June 5 - August 17, 2007
October 2 - December 14, 2007
Fees
The program fees are $3,660 USD, which includes placement, housing, airport transfers, pre-departure information, supervision, and evaluation after the program, among other benefits.
