International Student Exchange Program

What is ISEP? The International Student Exchange Program is a study abroad program based on exchanges. This means for every Berry College student placed on an ISEP program, an international student will come to Berry.

How is ISEP different from other Berry study abroad programs? With ISEP Exchange, you are not competing with other Berry students to study abroad. Whereas with our traditional programs there is sometimes limited space for students to participate, everyone placed on an ISEP Exchange program is virtually guaranteed to study abroad.

Can I study on any ISEP program? Yes - eligible students may participate in exchange and ISEP direct programs.  You will need to research the different institutions' requirements to determine which programs are best for you. Because you will be directly enrolled in a university, you should be prepared for the rigors of an unfamiliar educational system and possess the independence required to succeed in this environment.

How long can I study abroad with ISEP? Because this is an exchange program, you can study as long as one year. Or you may participate in one semester of ISEP and another semester of a traditional program, if selected.

How much does it cost? Students pay the Berry semester tuition of $11,185 and Berry room and board fees, which for 2008-2009 are $3989 per semester. There is an additional fee of $48/month for insurance; additional expenses will be incurred. Berry will pay the $345 exchange application fee.  All fees are subject to change.

Deadlines Students must apply by February 1 for the following fall semester and September 1 for spring.

Eligibility ISEP Exchange requires a 2.75 GPA. While most programs are for juniors and seniors, there are programs for sophomores.
