Location The University of Limerick is located in Limerick, Ireland 's third largest city. Limerick is a lively city with substantial historic and literary interest. It lies at the heart of the Shannon Region in the mid-west, an area known for its cultural attractions and stunning landscape.
Program of Study semester/academic year/summer The University of Limerick was established in 1972 and is located on the Plassey estate, three miles from the city center on the banks of the river Shannon. Courses are offered in Art, Business, Education, Engineering, Science, Humanities and Computer Science. Courses in Irish Studies are popular with many international students.
Living Arrangements Housing is provided in single rooms in University townhouses on campus. Students share a kitchen, living room and bathroom facilities. Each townhouse has cable TV and each room links to the main University computer network. There will be a monetary allowance provided for meals at University cafés or to cook at home.
Costs Students pay Berry semester tuition. Current housing fees are approximately $3000 per semester, and students are advised to budget about $1500 for food. Prices are subject to change, and other fees may apply.
Eligibility A 2.9 minimum GPA is required.
Students may also study at The University of Dublin - Trinity College for a 3-credit summer short term.
What Berry students say: Academic work is quite similar to Berry coursework. Exams are quite a bit different -- pretty much all classes are only graded through mid-terms & finals.
