University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland
Location Switzerland is a clean, peaceful, and orderly place. It’s a landlocked country containing the beautiful Alps which are ideal for skiing! Olten, where the university is located, is only 30 minutes from Zurich. Other branches of the campus are Brugg, on the Aare river, and Basel is located on the Rhine River - it's Switzerland’s third largest city.
Programs of Study This program focuses on business courses, but English courses are also offered in Psychology and some Social Sciences and Life Sciences. This is also a good option for fluent German speakers. Click here for business classes available spring 2009. 1 ECTS equals .6 Berry credits.
Living Arrangements Students may live in an international residence hall, a flat with other students, or in a home stay with a local host family. Residence halls supply linens and cooking supplies, but students should bring their own towels. International and local students live together in the residence halls. Students should download the housing application and mail it to the University of Applied Sciences.
Eligibility 3.0 GPA and approval by Berry College
Applying The applications form can be downloaded online, filled out by the student, and mailed to the University of Applied Sciences’ international office. No application fee. The summer deadline is December 31, and the winter deadline is June 30.
Cost Students pay Berry tuition. Residence cost is about $1,300 and board is approximately $300 per month. Other costs (not included): books and materials ($400), excursions ($400). Prices are approximate and subject to change.
Additional information fall term dates: mid-September to January (pre-January exams are possible); spring term dates: mid-February to early June. 15 week terms.
