Summer International Programs (SIP) Information
One of the best introductions to study abroad for students is through our faculty-led summer programs. These Summer International Programs (SIPs) can be offered in a variety of countries and fulfill gen ed, major/minor or elective credit.
Faculty should download and review the facuty director handbook (see right column) and contact the IP Director, Sarah Egerer (ext. 4065), to discuss the program. Faculty will also receive proposal forms at this time. The deadline for proposals is September 1.
Faculty are encouraged to apply for a SIP Development Grant to make a site visit to the host country a year prior to offering the course. The grant competition is announced by email each fall, or check the IP faculty webpage periodically.
All faculty who lead Summer International Programs are invited to attend a preparation session in the spring.
