Traveled to Italy, Summer 2010
In this picture I have attempted to capture the everyday culture in Florence, Italy. The man depicted in my photo was a street artist who made his living off of sketching and drawing individuals. I watched this man draw and finely critique his portrait of a young woman for about twenty minutes, and his results were absolutely breath taking. It was shocking to see that individuals that held such a rare and beautiful talent made their day-to-day living by sketching tourists on the streets. The artistic talent that is hidden within the side streets of Florence is unbelievable, and being able to see the talent of these men and women is truly an experience one will always remember.
