Did mission work in Puerto Rico, Summer 2012

The Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery by the sea is located in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, outside of the largest of Puerto Rico's defense fortresses, and is the burial place of many of the island's most prominent natives and residents. The cemetery, established in 1863, was devised by the colonial Spanish government of Puerto Rico. The Spanish viewed death with uncertainty and fear for its mystery, and because of this they consecrated the cemetery to a spot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, meant to symbolize the spirit's long journey to the afterlife.
