Traveled to Japan, Summer 2010
One of the stopping points on the way back from the Philippines was Japan. My family and I decided to explore the beautiful, busy city of Tokyo. We, with the accompaniment of an old family friend, made a necessary stop to taste authentic Japanese cuisine. The restaurant we attended had a sushi conveyer belt, or “sushi train”, as it is also known. This picture depicts my first experience with the sushi train, as well as my first experience in Japan. My experience in traveling to foreign places is very limited. When I explored Japan, I found myself immersed in a new and very different world. I cruised to Tokyo by Japan’s Maglev Train – the fastest train in the world. The city itself at night is beautiful, illuminated by the city lights. I was blessed enough to see the entire view of Tokyo city from the Tokyo Tower.
