Location
The Catholic University of Paris is located in Paris, France. The Seine River bisects the city into two banks, each with its own character. The Rive Droite, with its spacious boulevards and formal buildings, has a more somber and gentle feeling than the carefree and bohemian River Gauche. Students in Paris will be surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens, fascinating art exhibits, cuisine from all corners of the world, and the latest fashions.
Program of Study
The programs at CUP are designed to accommodate the language needs and academic interests of all students. Students take a written placement test prior to departure and an additional verbal test upon arrival to determine level. Note that equivalents to Berry's FRE 401, 402 and 406 may not be taken abroad.
Living Arrangements
Room and board with a host family is included in the program price. Host families will provide meals every day and laundry service once a week.
Costs
Students pay Berry College semester tuition. Current housing and board fees are $4000, which includes 10 meals per week. Insurance costs $15 per week. Prices are subject to change, and other fees may apply. Two travel grants to France are awarded each year. Contact Dr. Vincent Gregoire for details.
Eligibility
Students should have completed at least one 300-level Berry College French class and must have a 2.5 GPA. Students take a placement test prior to departing for France. A student's level in France may be lower than their level in the U.S.
Additional Information
Students will enjoy excursions to different historic sites throughout France depending on the semester or term visited. Students must obtain a visa from the French consulate in Atlanta prior to going to France to study. Students studying longer than 90 days in France must first register with Campus France.
