Located in St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University provides a window to one of the most European of Russian cities. With more bridges than Venice and great gold-domed churches, palaces and parks, St. Petersburg displays a historic and cultural city for any international student.
Program of Study
St Petersburg State Polytechnic University was founded in 1899 and has more than 20,000 students and 2000 professors. The Russian Language Center is only one mile away from the main university. Students may take six credits of Russian with three or four courses in English or sixteen hours of Russian a week with one or two courses in English.
Students live in the residence hall the first four weeks to get accustomed to the program. Then they have two housing options - remaining in the residence hall or living in a Russian home, where they can improve their Russian language skills and experience the Russian culture and cuisine.
Students pay the Berry College semester tuition. Current room and partial board costs are $2020. There is a $95 application fee, insurance charge of $475 and refundable housing deposit of $250. Prices are subject to change, and other fees may apply.
The program is open to students in good standing (2.5 minimum GPA) and requires no previous knowledge of Russian.
The Russian government requires students to obtain a valid visa for their period of study.
