"I know you, you know me, one thing I can tell you is you got to be free! Come together, right now, over me"

Upon traveling to London, I knew a place I must visit was the recording sight of one of the world's favorite bands of all time. I have always loved the Beatles, and of the 20 plus albums they recorded, Abbey Road will always be my favorite. I knew there was no way I could leave London without walking across that famous street. Although foreigners might consider this a famous spot and anticipate a more monumental presentation of this photo sight, the Abbey Road walkway was as unmarked and unadvertised as any other street crossing in the busy city. Despite embarrassing ourselves and risking looking like the most cliche tourists in the country, we attempted to get a picture mimicking the album cover. This however, proved to be a bit more of a challenge than we visualized. The Abbey Road intersection is a high-traffic area, and we had to dodge cars from both directions to try and get our shot. Although I took almost 2,000 photos on our trip, I feel this picture captures the joy we experienced when we visited the many sights that had meaning to us. The Beatles are a timeless band and visiting a place where their influential music was recorded really helped me experience what is was looking for in London's culture.
