This older gentleman, one of the few men in the small village ocho de octubre or commonly called Tommy Town, is a prime example of what the culture is like in his
village. Worn out and tired he may look, he is kind and hard working, just as many of the other Hondurans I met as I spent a week doing mission work in Tommy Town.
With mission trips, you often go to serve others but end up coming home having been served by the people you met. This is the culture of Tommy Town.
The people I met and interacted with helped with the construction projects my church went to complete. These families that materialistically have almost
nothing, gave us, who have so much more, gifts on our last day in the village. Tommy Town exudes the culture of selfless giving.
