Culture is the spirit that
exists deep within a people, created by tradition, value, and history, and
expressed in art, music, ritual and belief. The culture of India is one
characterized by the fusion of different religions, languages, and people
groups. My impression of India from the month I spent there in June of 2011 was
that it was incredibly full of life- literally speaking, being the second most
populous nation, but also figuratively. India's unmistakable vibrancy is
evident in the aromatic mango stands, the intricate temples on every corner,
and the colorful saris that many women in the country wear, as depicted in this
photo.
