Summer International Programs (SIP) Information
One of the best introductions to study abroad for students is through our faculty-led summer programs. These Summer International Programs (SIPs) can be offered in a variety of countries and fulfill gen ed, major/minor or elective credit.
Faculty should download and review the faculty director handbook (see right column) and contact the Acting IP Director, Laura McRaney (ext. 4065), to discuss the program. Faculty will complete a SIP information form (also right column), the deadline for which is September 15.
Faculty are encouraged to apply for a SIP Development Grant to make a site visit to the host country a year prior to offering the course. The grant competition is announced by email each fall, or check the IP faculty webpage periodically.
All faculty who lead Summer International Programs are invited to participate in the fall Education Abroad Fair and attend a preparation session in the spring.
