General
Standards
Name Badge
Always wear your Presidential Ambassador name badge when
you’re attending an event or working with a guest as a Presidential Ambassador.
Your name badge should always be worn on the right side of your shirt (where a
pocket would be). People shake with their right hands, so your name badge
should be on the right side. Remember: “The right
side is the right side.”
Jewelry and
Accessories
Jewelry and accessories worn when serving as a
Presidential Ambassador should always be tasteful and neat. Please keep jewelry
to a minimum (no more than 5 or 6 pieces) – less is often more when it comes to
tasteful jewelry. Men’s hats/ball caps should not be worn in buildings.
Inappropriate
Attire
Never represent another college or university with your
clothing, accessories, key chains, etc.
Other examples of inappropriate attire when serving as a
Presidential Ambassador include sweatpants, work-out clothes and pajamas, or
anything that resembles sweatpants, work-out clothes or pajamas. Baggy or
revealing clothes are never appropriate. Clothing with controversial images or
words or messages that contradict standards set by the Berry College Viking
Code may not be worn. Flip-flops/shower shoes are also never appropriate.
