In making the decision to come to Berry College, I had the same experience that many incoming students describe – I fell in love with one of the most distinctive colleges in the country.
As the proud alumnus of a private liberal arts college, I have a strong appreciation for the small classes and well-rounded educational opportunities that are inherent in such an environment. As someone who has spent my career working for both larger public universities and private liberal arts colleges, I deliberately made the decision to work in those smaller, academically competitive private liberal arts colleges. I found that kind of environment transformative in my own college experience and wanted to work with students interested in that same kind of educational experience.
In a crowded marketplace, Berry College stands out as a nationally regarded liberal arts college that offers substantive and meaningful work experience to all of our students. As America’s premier work experience college, Berry believes strongly that education is enhanced by the opportunity for work.
