Thank you for considering Berry College! As a recent
graduate of Berry, I love spending my time talking about my undergraduate
experience. I graduated in 2012 with a major in Biology and a minor in
Chemistry. I first learned of Berry when I passed it on my drives to camp every
summer and I was always impressed by the beauty of the campus. As I got older
and began to look at potential colleges, I learned that there was quite a bit
more to this college than just the landscaping.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where I was in
love with the ever present lively city life around me. I have, during my entire
time at Berry, appreciated the proximity to Atlanta, the benefits of being near
a town like Rome, and living in the type of community that Berry offers. When
looking at schools, I was really looking for a strong biology program with
heavy experience in the outdoors. I can tell you that with all of the resources
available on campus, Berry more than fulfilled this need for me. I was active
in Tri-Beta, the Biology Honor Society, the Honors Program, and Presidential
Ambassadors during my school years. I also took full advantage of the hiking
and biking trails and of course the hammocks! As a student, I worked in the Office
of Admissions for 3 years, ultimately working as a Level 5 Student Admissions
Counselor which led me to where I am today.
I chose Berry for a number of reasons including the strong
community sense, fantastic academics, breathtaking campus, and the opportunity
to have a real job on campus. I think that Berry has so much more to offer than
just these reasons, but I will let you discover them yourself!
