Degree Earned: Bachelor of Science in Government, 2008Hi and thanks for considering Berry. I graduated from Berry in 2008 and started work for the Admissions Office in August. Berry is a great school that fits all different personalities. Our professors and staff are very personable and were always willing to help me when I needed them. At Berry, you are not just a number. You are able to get the individual assistance you need to make your four years here as enjoyable as possible.
My major while attending Berry was Government and my minor History. I loved both my major and minor and while the classes were challenging, the rewards from learning from the professors and my fellow students made any challenge presented worth the work. My jobs during my four years included grounds crew at Oak Hill, Freshman Resident Assistant for two years, and Head Resident of the Dana/Thomas Berry dorm area my senior year. These work experiences helped to improve my leadership skills and allowed me to grow in confidence over my four years at Berry. The time I spent as a Freshman Resident Assistant in particular were two of the most fun and most fulfilling years of my life. There is no better feeling than to help and then see a freshman become part of the greater college community. I was also involved in SGA, intramurals, and Jazz Band, which all provided me with fun ways in which to get even more involved with the college. Whatever you may enjoy, you can definitely find it here at Berry.
