Applying:What is 'Rolling Admissions'?
Berry uses a rolling admissions process, which means admission decisions are made as applications are received. The process begins in mid-October and continues throughout the school year.
An application for admission should be filed no later than 30 days before the beginning of the semester for which admission is sought. All transcripts and scores must be in the admissions office at least 10 days prior to the semester for which admission is sought.
When should I apply?
Due to Berry's rolling admissions process, we accept applications until 30 days prior to the start of the term for which a student is applying. We encourage high school students to begin the application process during the fall of their senior year. Students who submit the application and supporting documents by February 1 are guaranteed consideration for admission and scholarships.
What is considered a complete application?
A complete freshman application file consists of the application plus all supporting documents, including the application fee (if required), high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores and a Counselor Recommendation Form.
A complete transfer application file consists of the application plus all supporting documents, including the application fee (if required), official college transcript and a Transfer Recommendation Form from each college or university attended.
Which Standardized Test do you prefer: The SAT or the ACT?
Either the SAT or the ACT are acceptable exams for admission to Berry College. For admission purposes, we consider the critical reading and math sections of the SAT and the composite score of the ACT. Any student submitting ACT scores should take the optional writing portion.
Who should I ask for a recommendation?
High-school seniors need a recommendation filed by a High School Counselor and transfer students need a recommendation filed by their current Dean of Students or other college official.
Are there any special requirements for home-schooled students?
The same criteria for high school applicants apply to home school applicants. In addition, home school students are required to submit two personal recommendation forms in lieu of the counselor recommendation form required of other freshman applicants with a high school guidance counselor. How do I apply for scholarships?
Every freshman or transfer student who is offered admission to Berry College will automatically be considered for merit scholarships. All students are encouraged to apply before the February 1 priority date in order to be given full consideration.

Are there any fees once I have been accepted into the program?
Once you have been accepted to Berry College we encourage you to pay the enrollment deposit of $150.00 and the residence-hall room deposit of $100.00 in order to reserve a space in new student registration (SOAR) and in the residence halls. Room assignments and registration dates are assigned according to the submission date of the deposit.
